Total War: Warhammer Review
Next installment in the epic strategy game series, introduced by Creative Assembly in 2000. After a series of titles set in different historical periods, the developers decided to take players into one of the most famous fantasy universes, created by the Games Workshop company. In the dark universe of Warhammer, different races constantly fight for power and world domination, unaware of the fact that the real threat comes from a mighty force from the north. The game lets become the leader of one of several races, including humans, orcs, goblins, dwarves, vampires, and others. Disregarding the fantasy elements, the gameplay does not differ significantly from the previous games in the series, with epic real-time battles lying at its core. Between the battles the gameplay switches to a turn-based mode, where on a world map you develop your country, its economy, and establish diplomatic relations with other nations.

Story
In this universe, several different races wage war against each other to take control over the Old World, while keeping at bay the demonic forces of Chaos that invade the realm. There are four playable factions in the game, each one with a powerful leader. Humans from the Empire are led by the emperor Karl Franz, whose aim is to unite the broken forces of Prince-Electors. Grimgor Ironhide leads a cruel army of orcs and goblins. High King Thorgrim commands the dwarves, armed with advanced technology based on gunpowder and steam. Finally, the cunning vampires, leading their undead armies, are under the command of Mannfred von Carstein.

Gameplay
Gameplay is not much different from what we saw in recent Total War games. The turn-based gameplay revolves around managing your territories – gathering resources, expanding cities, developing new technologies, trade, diplomacy, recruiting troops and moving armies, etc. At least, that's how the game looks in the model case (the humans), as each race requires a different approach. For example, while playing as the orcs the infrastructure development fades into the background, and the key aspect of "economy" becomes the so-called Waaagh! – the primal battle cry of the greenskins, which becomes an ersatz resource.

The often you engage in combat and win, the more warriors will flock under your command, however, if you start slacking off and lose most of your battles, your armies will melt like snow in spring (e.g. your warriors will pick up fights with each other out of boredom). Each faction has its agents, who serve an important role on the world map. These are the special units, coming in different sorts. They can move around on their own, develop their skills as they succeed in their tasks, and can also take part in battles.

The battles are the second pillar of Warhammer: Total War. They are very spectacular and fought in real time – the visuals have been significantly improved, in comparison to the previous installments in the series. Not only thanks to the advancement in technology, but also the increased variety of units taking part in battles. Depending on the chosen faction, you can use numerous types of infantry and cavalry, more or less conventional siege weapons, artillery, as well as giant beasts and flying creatures. Another novelty are heroes, who can now take part in battles (the abovementioned agents), with heavy emphasis being put on spellcasters, who can utterly change the situation on the battlefield with their devastating magic.

Game modes
The game is not set in any particular moment in history of the Warhammer universe. The campaign has a sandbox-like structure, and the player shapes the game's story by completing selected missions. Missions can also represent some canonical events that happened in the history of the Old World (e.g. the Storm of Chaos) and often provide your heroes with powerful artifacts or aid your faction in other ways.

HTC 10 review

The HTC 10 is everything an HTC fan has been longing for. A full smartphone package experience without compromise. The problem with this idea is that it doesn't exist, there will always be some phone with a better camera or better battery or a larger display. But we can always look at this idea subjectively and find the right balance between what the phone offers versus compromises you might be making.
HTC 10 Review review

It's been quiet in HTC camp lately but it seems the company has been gearing up for its big comeback this year. HTC's relevancy had been slipping away the past couple of years and the Taiwanese company thought it should buckle down and listen to what its customers have been saying for a while. And the fans, on the other hand, are excited to learn that "HTC is back!"

Before the HTC 10, pretty much every iteration of the HTC One series in recent years brought some form of compromise. The HTC One M7 had a great camera, the first of its kind, the problem was only 4MP did not allow any sort of cropping without anyone noticing. The HTC One M8 had the same 4-megapixel camera and HTC made a bad choice to even remove OIS from the flagship.

The HTC One M9 was a step in the right direction, but it was not enough. Even with a bigger camera sensor this time around, the camera performance was still lackluster. The One M9 was also plagued with overheating problems caused by an early version of the Snapdragon 810 which had to be downclocked just to avoid the heating issues. As a result, the HTC's M9 unofficially became the flagship to avoid.

Key Features
  • Full-metal unibody design
  • HTC's Boom Sound speaker setup
  • 5.2-inch SuperLCD5 1,440 x 2,560 pixels (565 ppi)
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 - dual-core 2.15 GHz Kyro & dual-core 1.6 GHz Kyro w/ Adreno 530
  • Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with HTC Sense UI 8.0
  • 12MP main camera, F/1.8, Ultrapixel sensor, OIS, autofocus, dual-tone LED flash, 2160p@30fps, 1080p@60fps, 5MP front camera (first ever with OIS)
  • 32GB of on-board storage expandable up to 2TB via microSD tray
  • LTE Cat9 450/50 Mbps, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.2
  • 3,000mAh integrated battery
  • Fingerprint reader and capacitive nav buttons
  • Main Cons
  • No dust or water-proofing
  • No more IR-blaster
  • Appears thicker and heavier than most of the competition
  • Pricing at launch is not competitive
The HTC 10 is now here to hopefully break the chain of bad decisions. It's a proper flagship with hardly any shortcomings - it has better cameras, front facing OIS, superb build quality, great performance, Hi-Fi audio, booming sound quality, and battery life that meets or exceeds expectations.
For a couple of months before its announcement, HTC had been teasing the HTC 10's different features such as the hardware design, performance, battery life, captivating camera experience, Boom Sound, and capacitive navigation buttons. Many of these teasers were looked at with much speculation. After finally getting the retail product in our hands, will HTC be able to deliver all of its promises?

How to Use and Configure Cortana on Windows 10

Cortana is billed as more than a simple search feature. It’s supposed to be a full-fledged personal assistant much like Siri is on Apple iOS devices. Here are the basics of setting up Cortana and using it on your new Windows 10 computer.

Additionally, Cortana require access to your location, which you might have turned off if you

Once Windows is “getting to know you” and location is enabled, you can start using Cortana though keep in mind, from this point you’re sending Microsoft a great deal of personal data, which is then stored in the cloud. If you’re leery of sharing personal information such as calendar events and contacts, speech patterns, and typing history, then Cortana may not be right for you.

What Cortana Can Do
Cortana is your do-it-all helper, which can deliver sport scores, weather, news, as well as help out with navigation, setting reminders, and more.

Cortana can be accessed by clicking the search feature on the taskbar.

You can adjust the search bar by right-clicking on the taskbar and selecting the style you prefer.

In all our examples, we’ll be using the search box. It’s important to keep in mind that if you have Cortana enabled and you hide it, it will still be active and you can still use it.

When we click on the search box, Cortana will pop open. It will display pertinent information based on your interests and hobbies.

You can also ask it facts and have it perform tasks.

If you click on the “Notebook” icon along the left edge, you’ll be able to further configure Cortana, specifically the information it provides to you.

You can change the name Cortana uses to address you or how it pronounces it, and you can edit your favorite places, which are your “home, work, and other saved favorite locations.”

ortana may remind you a bit of Google Now because the information it shows are broken down into cards. Cards are divided into twelve categories.

For each category, you can turn cards off or on, which means that if you don’t want to see Cortana tips, you simply turn the tip cards off.

Some tip cards can be configured beyond simply turning them off or on. For example, the “Eat & Drink” card allows you to receive recommendations from Foursquare, add an atmosphere, and so on.

Cortana will also let you add reminders, which can be managed and sorted by time, place, and person.

Finally, if you wish to provide feedback you can submit your ideas, likes, or dislikes to Microsoft as well as include a screenshot if you prefer.

Take some time, go through all these items, particularly the Notebook cards. As you can see, Cortana is highly configurable, but there’s obviously quite a few things you may not use or need to see. For example, you may not have any use for finance info, or maybe you don’t do a lot of traveling.

Beyond that, however, there are other vital settings you can configure, which we’ll talk about in the next section.

Cortana’s Settings
Cortana’s general settings can be configured from the Notebook tab. The first item you can attend to is simply turning it on or off. This won’t affect the privacy settings you’ve already enabled, so, if you don’t want to use Cortana any longer, you can also turn off Speech, Inking, & Typing as well as Location, if you prefer.

Cortana can also be activated using your voice. When you say “Hey Cortana” it will react awaiting your next command. You can further configure this to respond best to anyone or just you, but in order to do that, Cortana will first need to learn your voice.

We mentioned earlier that Cortana acts and functions a lot like Google Now. To that end, it can be configured to detect tracking info such as for flights or presumably packages. You can also let it “pipe up” occasionally to give you thoughts and greetings in the search box. These won’t be obtrusive but you may just want it to leave you alone.

Finally, at the very bottom of the settings are further options to manage your Bing SafeSearch settings and other privacy settings.

Take your privacy seriously because Microsoft is asking you to surrender a lot of personal information so that Cortana can work as intended. If you’re not planning on using Cortana then we heartily believe you should not only disable it, but turn off the aforementioned privacy settings.

Cortana is likely to be a something of a paradigm change for the Windows operating system. It gives Microsoft a way to compete with the likes of Siri and Ok Google, and is likely to change the way many users interact with their computers.

Still, it’s going to take some time for Windows users to adapt and Cortana isn’t likely to be the go-to way of interfacing with their computers, at least not immediately. Time will only tell if Cortana actually does fill that usability gap between touch and mouse, but from what we’re seeing, it’s well on its way. (source)
Homefront: The Revolution

Homefront: The Revolution for PC / Windows tries a new approach to an FPS franchise which debuted in 2011 and gained significant popularity among the players, despite receiving rather mediocre reviews. This next title was developed by Dambuster (formerly Crytek UK), who stepped in for the creators of the first game, Kaos Studios. After the original publisher, THQ company, went bankrupt, the franchise was bought by Crytek and then Deep Silver company, making it possible to expand the series by another installment

It's been four years since the USA has fallen to the invaders and the constantly growing forces of the resistance are preparing a huge revolution against the oppressor. Gameplay
Unlike the previous game, which was linear in its structure, Homefront: The Revolution for PC / Windows is set in an open-world environment. The order of missions and the way they are completed are mostly up to the player. As a member of the resistance you can recruit new people to aid your cause. Apart from dynamic combat, in which you use various weapons and vehicles, it is often necessary to go in guerilla style and keep a low profile while operating behind the enemy lines. Your hideout doubles as your headquarters; that's where you improve your gear and weapons in between missions.

The Witness (PC )

The Witness for PC / Windows is a first-person adventure game that puts emphasis on solving puzzles, which is similar in this regard to the classic logic-adventure games series entitled Myst. It was created by independent studio Number None founded by Jonathan Blow, who previously developed one of the most interesting logic platform games in recent years – namely Braid, released in 2008. Initially, the title was designed for different platforms, of both current and past generation, but ultimately it came out for PC and PlayStation 4, and a couple of months later also on mobile devices.
The world definitely looks beautiful. - 2016-02-03

Story
The game is set on a pretty large island, which you can explore freely in search of puzzles to solve. The island is very mysterious and, despite many traces of someone’s presence, seems completely deserted. As you find more clues (e.g. audiologs) hidden here and there, and solve various new logic puzzles, you learn more about the place itself and the island’s secrets.
Some riddles are pretty easy, but the further you go, the more you’ll have to push yourself to your mental limits. - 2016-02-03

Technology
Unlike Number None’s first game, which was fully 2D, The Witness for PC / Windows offers simple, but very charming 3D graphics. What's more, using first-person perspective allows for even greater immersion in the game’s atmosphere.
Virtual piece of paper helps you with traveling around the location, but a real one might actually be helpful with solving some puzzles. - 2016-02-03

Gameplay
The Witness uses FPP view, and the gameplay focuses on exploration (on foot or by boat) of every nook and cranny of the island, finding various hints, and solving logic puzzles in order to lower a bridge, activate a mechanism, open a door, etc. Similarly to the aforementioned Myst games, The Witness for PC / Windows requires logical thinking from the player, but there's more. As you explore the island, you have to prove to be remarkably patient, observant, and able to connect seemingly unrelated elements of the story. Many things here have a secret meaning, and the key symbols, hints and markings that let you push the plot forward are smartly hidden within the game’s environment. What makes things even more difficult is the fact that there is no hint system for the player, so you can only count on yourself.

Fuel Cell charger that's pocket friendly

Battery chargers aren't exactly the sexiest gadgets in the world, but when you add fuel cells into the mix things get a little more interesting.

MyFC is showcasing its Jaq fuel cell charger at MWC 2016, the world's smallest charger of its type. The device, which has gotten its European debut, offers up speedy phone charging without the need to ever go near a plug socket.

This is because Jaq powers itself with the help of its own PowerCard - which is made of water and salt. Stick this in the charger and by some chemical magic hydrogen is created and your charging can begin. It will charge a phone in the same time as a normal power outlet.

While chemical reactions and hydrogen sound a touch dangerous, MyFC promises that not only is the chemical reaction completely safe, it is also environmentally friendly.

The MyFC Jaq is compatible with all phones and tablets, including iOS, and will be available in white, black and purple.

Although there's no release date as of yet, MyFC has put the Jaq up for pre-order, where you can also sign up to having Power Cards sent to you on a subscription basis.
